Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM) is scheduled for an OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar on November 8, following its impressive performance at the box office.
Directed by Jithin Laal, this period action-adventure film will make its digital debut nearly two months after a successful 30-day theatrical run in Kerala, where it grossed over Rs 100 crore worldwide. The movie features Tovino Thomas in a triple role, marking his highest-grossing film. Initially, the digital version will only be available in Malayalam, with no plans for dubbed releases announced.
Viewers can catch the premiere on Disney+ Hotstar. The plot spans three eras—1900, 1950, and 1990—in Northern Kerala, intertwining the lives of Maniyan, Kunjikelu, and Ajayan. Each character is tasked with protecting an ancestral artefact, linking three generations in a common quest. This release follows a standard eight-week theatrical window.
The trailer of ARM showcases settings across the three time periods, emphasizing the characters’ commitment to safeguarding a family’s treasure. The story incorporates traditional Kerala folklore and focuses on the region’s cultural heritage, blending action, drama, and mystical elements.
The cast includes Tovino Thomas in three distinct roles, with Krithi Shetty debuting in Malayalam cinema. Supporting roles feature Basil Joseph, Surabhi Lakshmi, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Shivajith. The film also benefits from narrations by Chiyaan Vikram and Mohanlal. Produced by Magic Frames and UGM Entertainment, ARM marks Jithin Laal’s directorial debut.
Upon its theatrical release, ARM was well-received, earning over Rs 100 crore globally and securing a strong IMDb rating of 7.6/10. It also stood out during the Onam festival season, surpassing other releases like Kiskindha Kandam and achieving box office success in Malayalam cinema.
