AirSial, Pakistan’s third private airline, has decided to expand its international flight operations.
The airline plans to acquire five new aircraft to support this expansion. Sources reveal that the administration is negotiating with aviation companies for the purchase.
With the addition of these aircraft, AirSial anticipates hiring more pilots, cabin crew, and other staff.
Launched by Sialkot’s business community on December 9, 2020, AirSial received permission to operate international flights on seven routes, including China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and Kuwait.
AirSial commenced its international operations on December 31, 2021. The first chartered flight, carrying 162 passengers, departed from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport to Dubai, marked by a cake-cutting ceremony.
Domestically, AirSial began its services on December 25, 2020, using Airbus A320-200 aircraft for the Karachi-Islamabad route. The airline started with a fleet of three Airbus A320-200 planes conceptualized by members of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
