Pakistan has dispatched two C-130 aircraft of relief goods for victims of the avalanches in Afghanistan, on Saturday.
In a press released issued by the ISPR stated “To express solidarity with their Afghan brethern Two C130 aircraft including were dispatched today from Nur Khan airbase carrying relief goods for affecttees of avalanche hit areas of Panjsher province Afghanistan. Relief items sent include tents, blankets, stoves, eatables like rice, meal ready to eat, and medicines.”
On February 26, a avalanche killed more than 100 people in mountainous areas of northern Afghanistan.
Acting governor Abdul Rahman Kabiri told AFP that more than 250 people have been killed in a series of avalanches triggered by heavy snowfall around Afghanistan this week. Almost all of the victims were in Panjshir province, approximately 150 kilometres north of Kabul.
