Adverse weather conditions across several parts of Pakistan have significantly disrupted flight operations, leading to cancellations, diversions, and widespread delays affecting dozens of flights.
According to flight schedules, Pakistan International Airlines flights PK 302 and PK 303 operating between Karachi and Lahore were cancelled due to unfavourable weather. In addition, Flynas flight F 3651 from Riyadh to Islamabad was diverted to Peshawar due to poor visibility that prevented landing at Islamabad’s airport.
Overall, flight-tracking data indicate delays affecting more than 70 flights nationwide. Lahore recorded the highest number of disruptions, with 30 delayed flights. Islamabad recorded 12 delays, while Karachi saw 10 delays in departures and arrivals. Other affected cities included Multan, with seven delayed flights; Peshawar, with three; and two delays each in Sialkot, Faisalabad, and Skardu.

Several long delays were also reported on international routes. PIA flight PK 373 from Karachi to Islamabad faced an 11-hour delay. Etihad Airways flights EY 284 and EY 285 from Abu Dhabi to Lahore were delayed by around 10 hours. PK 747 from Lahore to Medina was held up for eight hours, while PK 248 arriving from Dammam experienced a four-hour delay. Saudia flights SV 801 and SV 800 from Jeddah to Multan were also delayed by approximately four hours.
Airport authorities said passengers are being kept informed of schedule changes and weather-related constraints. Officials added that operational teams are working closely with airlines to resume normal flight operations as conditions improve.
Aviation experts note that seasonal weather disruptions often strain flight schedules across Pakistan, particularly during periods of fog, rain, or low visibility, underscoring the importance of timely communication and contingency planning for travellers.
