Adila Baloch, a Baloch woman arrested in Turbat for allegedly planning a suicide attack, disclosed that terrorists manipulate and coerce women into committing such acts.
During a press conference in Quetta, she detailed how terrorist groups enticed her with misleading promises. Adila, a qualified nurse involved in a World Health Organization project, recounted her experience: “My job was to help people and save lives. Unfortunately, I was misled by those who diverted me from the right path,” she explained.
She admitted that terrorists persuaded her to attempt a suicide bombing, disregarding the potential loss of innocent lives. “They presented false promises of a better life,” she said, adding that the harsh reality of life in the mountains became apparent only after joining them.
She refuted the idea that Baloch women willingly engage in terrorism. “It’s entirely false. Terrorists force women into this; I have witnessed it,” she declared.
Adila pleaded with Baloch youth to avoid similar mistakes. “These actions lead only to destruction. There is no gain in such activities,” she cautioned, advising them to consult their parents if approached by suspicious individuals.
Her arrest by security forces in Turbat is considered a significant success, highlighting their ongoing vigilance and effective intelligence work.
At the time of her arrest, Adila was employed as a nurse at the Turbat Teaching Hospital.
