Five people have been murdered in two separate incidents of firing in Turbat and Khuzdar districts earlier yesterday.
At least three people were killed in the Satellite Town area of Turbat, police said. According to Turbat police official Inam Ahmed, unidentified men barged into a house in Satellite Town and opened fire, killing Wasim and Siraj on the spot.
Soon after the incident, police carried out a search operation and tracked down one of the killers. However, the suspect was shot dead by police personnel in an encounter.
“A man involved in the murder of two persons in Satellite Town was killed during a search operation in Turbat,” Ahmed said. The alleged murderer was identified as Jameel Ahmed. The motive of the killing is said to be an old enmity. Further investigations are under way, he said.
Meanwhile, two persons were gunned down in the Naal area of Khuzdar district, allegedly over an old feud. According to Balochistan Levies, unidentified intruders barged into a house in the Gahrisha area of Naal and shot dead Sahi Muhammad and Rehmat Khan.
Levies personnel rushed to the spot after the incident and shifted the bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital for legal formalities. “As per initial reports, the motive behind the killing seems to be an old grudge,” a Levies official said.
