36 players nammed for training camp

The PCB has selected 36 players for a one month fitness camp in Karachi on Tuesday. Chief selector Moin Khan has named the squad.

Moin Khan told the media that players, who were previously ignored, have also been given the opportunity. The camp will run from May 6 to June 6.

The openers include,Ahmed Shahzad, Nasir Jamshed, Sharjil Khan, Taufiq Umar, Khurram Manzoor, Shan Masood, Imran Farhat and Yasir Hameed.

The others camp members are Sohaib Maqsood, Haris Sohail, Sarfraz Ahmed, Adnan Akmal, Asad Shafiq, Younis Khan, Misbah ul Haq, Umar Akmal, Azhar Ali, Faisal Iqbal, Atif Maqbool and Fawad Alam have been named. Three spinners are Raza Hasan, Zulfiqar Babar,Yasir Shah.

Others included in the sqaud are Umar Gul, Ahsan Adil, Muhammad Talha, Muhammad Sami and Rahat Ali.

The selection committee didn’t  call Shoaib Malik,  Kamran Akmal and Abdul Razzaq. Saeed Ajmal and Junaid Khan are exempted from camp as they are playing county cricket in England,.

Muhammad Irfan, who is facing fitness issues, has also been called to the camp with doctor’s advice, Khan added.
