35 year old PML-N MPA Khurram Gulfam passes away

Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Khurram Gulfam passed away at the Services Hospital in Lahore on Tuesday.

Gulfam, elected to PP-162 (Sheikhupura-I), was declared brain dead last week, days after he was brought to the hospital for a minor procedure.

At the hospital, his condition turned critical during the operation and the doctors shifted him to the ICU.

Born on February 6, 1979 in Sheikhupura, Gulfam received his early education from Lahore’s Aitchison College and later graduated from Government College, Lahore.

He obtained the degree of M.A. (English) in 2001 from University of the Punjab, Lahore and graduated in Law in 2004 from Lahore’s Pakistan College of Law.

Later in 2007, when he was serving as Muridke tehsil’s naib nazim, an attempt was made on Gulfam’s life. Although he had managed to escape unhurt in the attack near Fatehwali village, one of his guards was severely injured.
