The nominations for the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) were announced on August 6, 2025. Lady Gaga leads the nominations with 12 nods for her songs “Die with a Smile” and “Abracadabra.” These tracks have received recognition across multiple categories, highlighting Gaga’s lasting influence in the music industry.

Following Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars has 11 nominations, while Kendrick Lamar has 10. Sabrina Carpenter and Rosé each earned eight nominations. Ariana Grande and The Weeknd received seven nominations apiece, and Billie Eilish received six. Charli XCX has five nominations. Additionally, artists such as Bad Bunny, Doechii, Jelly Roll, Ed Sheeran, Tate McRae, and Miley Cyrus are tied with four nominations each.

The VMAs, airing on CBS on September 7, 2025, celebrate musical creativity and innovation, drawing global attention to top performers. Gaga’s dominance reflects her artistic evolution and commercial success, positioning her at the forefront of this year’s awards.
