KTM has launched the 2025 KTM 390 SMC R, a new entry-level model in its Supermoto lineup designed for enthusiasts.
The 2025 KTM 390 SMC R, built on the dynamic 390 Duke platform, aims to outperform its competitors with enhanced capabilities.
KTM 390 SMC R 2025 Engine and Performance
While the 390 SMC R shares a lineage with KTM’s admired single-cylinder models, it stands apart with its latest-generation 399cc LC4c engine. This new engine features refined mechanics, including a double overhead cam and a compact cylinder head, and produces 44.2 horsepower. The advanced fuel system and a new stainless steel exhaust system improve efficiency and emissions.
With long-travel suspension, spoked wheels, a new minimal TFT dashboard and the option of turning ABS off completely, the all-new 2025 #KTM390EnduroR and #KTM125EnduroR definitely set the dual-sport standard.

The engine upgrades feature a ride-by-wire throttle, selectable ride modes—Street for everyday comfort and Sport for spirited riding—and enhanced traction control. Riders can deactivate the traction control for a more raw experience. A standout addition for 2025 is the mode memory function, which retains your preferred settings even after powering down the bike.
KTM 390 SMC R 2025 Chassis and Handling
The 390 SMC R’s chassis has been expertly tweaked for optimal performance. It features a new third-generation steel-trellis frame with unique geometry and rigidity for road and off-road agility. The extended wheelbase, specialized suspension system, a 43mm WP Apex fork, and a fully adjustable WP Apex rear shock enhance stability and control.
The bike has high-quality ByBre braking components, including a radial-mount four-piston calliper at the front. Bosch’s dual-channel ABS ensures safety with multiple modes to suit different riding conditions.
KTM 390 SMC R 2025 Design and Features
Aesthetic updates include a slim design with a sturdy 2.4-gallon metal fuel tank, enhanced fairings, and integrated graphics that promise durability. The bike also sports a new 4.2-inch full-colour TFT dashboard with smartphone connectivity, supporting navigation, call handling, and media management.
The all-new 390 SMC R, priced competitively alongside the Duke, will enter showrooms in early 2025 and is set to become a standout model in its segment.
