More than 200 suspects have been apprehended by security forces in Punjab in massive search operations in various cities of the province after a deadly suicide attack killed over 70 people in Allama Iqbal Park in the provincial capital.
According to the popular Pakistani news channel Geo News, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies arrested 120 people from Gujranwala, 20 from Faisalabad, and 34 people from Sadiqabad, Khanpur and Liaquatpur.
The campaign against the militants has been launched on the orders of Army Chief General Raheel Sharif who chaired two high level meetings since the Lahore attack.
