Security forces eliminated 11 terrorists in an intelligence-led operation in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
This operation, conducted overnight on June 10-11, was a response to a June 9 IED explosion that claimed the lives of seven soldiers, including Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas and Subedar Major Muhammad Nazir.

The ISPR stated that army troops targeted the militants’ hideouts effectively, killing 11 and destroying several encampments.
The military is currently sanitizing the area to ensure all terrorists are removed and those responsible for the attack are apprehended.
President Asif Ali Zardari expressed profound grief over the deaths of the security personnel on Sunday. His statement from the President’s Secretariat Press Wing paid homage to the fallen soldiers, praying for their souls.
