Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) top leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim was among eleven people indicted by an accountability court in the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) case.

The accountability court indicted the accused in the absence of Amin Fahim and Salman Ghani.

Those accused present in court today denied charges against them.

Accused in the case include Amin Fahim, Ayaz Khan Niazi, Salman Ghani, Amin Qasim Dada, Muhammad Zahoor, Zahid Hussain, Hur Rahi Gardezi, Naveed Hussain Zaidi, SM Iqbal, Amir Hussain and Khawaja Akbar Butt.

Suspects in the case are accused of purchasing 10 acres in Karachi’s Korangi area and selling it to the government at an inflated price which led to millions in losses to the national exchequer.

The court has summoned witnesses during the next hearing of the case scheduled for September 30.
