Dubai: Lyari gangster Uzair Jan Baloch, who was released by United Arab Emirates authorities last week, has gone missing and hide in Afghanistan.
Pakistan’s most wanted ganglord, Baloch fled to Middle East to avoid arrest.
On December 28, 2014, Baloch was arrested by Interpol at Dubai-Oman border while trying to enter UAE on a counterfeit passport.
Pakistani officials, DSP Zahid Hussain, SP Usman Bajwa, SP Naveed Khawaja, and a Rangers officer went to Dubai to negotiate Baloch’s extradition but were sent packing back home after a documentary fiasco.
The UAE officials refused to surrender the fugitive because all the seasoned law enforcement agents, who were may be unfamiliar with the process of extradition, could not produce mandatory papers before them.
According to a media report, right now, Baloch is presumably in Afghanistan as one of his close relatives has claimed to have received a phone call from the gangwar suspect from an Afghan number.
