A faction of Taliban militants has claimed responsibility of the suicide attack on a Imambargah in Rawalpindi in which at least six people were killed.
A suicide explosion took place during Milad at a Shiite mosque in Rawalpindi due to which at least six people were killed and more than 10 people were seriously wounded.
According to a foreign news agency, Ehsanullah Ahsan, spokesman of Taliban faction Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, in an email claimed responsibility of the attack and vowed to carry out more attacks.
It should be noted that Pakistan stepped up its offensive against militant groups since the attack on Peshawar’s Army Public School on 16th December in which 150 people, including 134 children and nine staff members, were killed.
The country lifted the ban on death sentences after the heinous attack.
The Pakistani government had also announced to set up nine military courts for hearing terrorism cases
