Karachi: Sindh High Court on Thursday gave a deadline till June 1st to the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take action against those police personnel who were allegedly involved in beating up media persons.
Hearing the contempt of court case against IG Sindh police, the high court bench ordered the provincial chief secretary to present the report on June 1.
The bench remarked that the court wants to give time to the government to take action against the police personnel, adding if action is not taken then the court would do so.
It may be mentioned that the Sindh High Court took a suo moto of the masked policemen who beat up media men busy in coverage of Zulfiqar Mirza’s appearance at the court earlier this week.
