Ahmed Shahzad with his highly impressive innings helped let the Quetta Gladiators to their empethatic win against Karachi Kings by 8 wickets in the fourth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Dubai earlier yesterday.
The Gladiators secured a comfortable win against Karachi by chasing the target of 148 in just 17.2 overs for 2 wickets in a highly charged PSL match.
Ahmed Shahzad scored remarkable 71 off 46 deliveries and clinched the title of man of the match. His superb innings consisted of 5 fours and 6 sixes.
Shahzad hit four 6s and five 4s in his 71 off 46 balls and was well supported by Luke Wright who three runs short of another fifty.
Kevin Pietersen finished the proceeding with two sixes in the 16th and 17th over to shoot down Kings’ target of 148/2 in 17.2 overs and eight wickets still in hand.
Earlier, Shoaib Malik (37) and Ravi Bopara (40) helped Karachi Kings set Quetta Gladiators a target of 148. Sent in to bat first by Gladiators, Kings could manage only 147/7 in 20 overs.
For Quetta, Anwar Ali and Mohammad Nabi took two wickets each while all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz also bagged one wicket.
