Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supremo Imran Khan earlier today urged the federal government to release Rs6 billion immediately to help internally-displaced persons (IDPs).
Addressing a press conference here, Khan said more than 250, 000 people have already come to Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The PTI chief called upon Punjab and Sindh to let them go to their relatives.
He said that military operation should have been delayed by September when coalition forces were about to leave Afghanistan.
He also deplored police crackdown on workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and accused Punjab government of victimizing rivals.
“PTI stands by Awami Tehreek due to killing of their workers in Model Town, Lahore,” he said.
“All those involved in the carnage should be put behind bars,” he said.
The PTI chief said that Shahbaz Sharif should resign while Rana Sanaullah should be jailed.
“At least 83 PAT’s workers were shot in Lahore and two women were shot at point blank range,” he said.
He announced that PTI would set a deadline in its Bahawalpur rally about vote fraud allegations
