Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has agreed to sit down with the opposition, at the demand of the Union of South American States, in an aim put an end to tense protests which have swept the country for over two months.
The moderate Democratic Unity Roundtable coalition, who are seeking changes without toppling Maduro are expected to attend, but only if certain conditions are met such as the release of jailed protesters and an inquiry into the clashes with left 39 people dead.
