President Mamnoon Hussain has said that with the effective role of country’s institutions, a true democratic society based on justice, equity and equality can be established in Pakistan.

“If our institutions play their effective role, a democratic society based on justice, equity and equality can be established in the country, in which there will be no corruption, loot and plunder, nepotism and bribery, rather every person will be judged on the basis of equality and to be provided with job opportunities on merit”, the President said in his message on Eid-ul-Fitr.

He further said that, “It should be our effort that the core of our dear country remains attached with the democratic process.”

The President extended heartiest felicitations to the whole nation on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and prayed to Almighty Allah to bless Pakistan and Pakistani nation with His bounties.

“Eid-ul-Fitr is a day of happiness for the Muslims, which is celebrated at the conclusion of Ramadan-ul-Mubarik, the month of fasting. This day is aimed at promoting unity and affection among the Muslims and to create sympathy, harmony and the spirit of sacrifice among them”, he added.

The President said the unprecedented demonstration of self-restriction during the month of Ramadan and including each other in Eid festivities depicted the fact that Muslims were an organized Ummah, who participated in each other’s pain and pleasures.

“This unity, solidarity and sacrifice is also demonstrated through the exchange of gifts and extending financial assistance to poor and needy ones,” he added.

The President said, “Eid-ul-Fitr is also a day of thankfulness. The biggest form of thankfulness is that we, by always acknowledging the countless blessings of Almighty Allah, lead our lives in the light of His commands.”

“The day of Eid-ul-Fitr demands us to help by all means the poor, needy and destitute and include them in the Eid delights. In this respect, it should be specially kept in view that the amounts of Zakat, Fitra and Sadqa should go in the right hands, so that only the needy people can benefit from it”, he added.

The President said, “while celebrating this day, we should also keep in view the discipline and objectivity, because the true Eid gives happiness to others as well.”

“I pray to Almighty Allah to enable us to follow the true teachings of Islam and turn our dear country into a cradle of peace and development, cleanse Pakistan’s territory from all kinds of extremism and bless us with His bounties and benevolence”, he added. (APP)
