Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday announced to slash oil prices prior to ushering in the new year.
Sharif after Senate address talking to media said “We have reduced the price of petrol by Rs6.25/liter, HOBC Rs14.14, kerosene oil Rs11.26, light diesel oil Rs10.48, and High-speed Diesel by Rs7.86/liter,”
According to prime minister, the decision has been taken to pass on the benefit of falling prices of petroleum product on the world market.
Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has issued a notification to this effect.
