The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Friday fined two top hotels for not meeting mandatory hygienic requirements.
According to details, PFA, Data Ganj Bakhsh team under the supervision of Director Operations Ayesha Mumtaz on Friday inspected Pearl Continental hotel.
“During inspection, the team found that there was no proper arrangement to wash hands in “Sakura” kitchen for workers, poor drainage in “Dum Pukht” kitchen, no expiry date was mentioned on colours, flavours and “Samosa Pati” in bakery section to which the authority imposed a heavy fine,” said a presser issued here.
Meanwhile, in Avari Hotel, things were placed in chillers inappropriately, blue drums were found under use, poor cleanliness arrangements were witnessed in “Ala Carte” kitchen while the floor of “Dynasty” kitchen was found dirty to which the authority imposed fine, the report added.
Also, fine was imposed on BigMan restaurant in Shahdman for not maintaining proper cleanliness. (APP)
