Petrol pump owners across country shut down petrol stations on Saturday to protest the reduction in prices.
On the first day after the reduction of fuel prices announced Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif , petrol pump owners cross the country has shut down pump stations. Whereas the operational petrol stations are still selling petrol on the old prices.
Yesterday, addressing a special meeting of Cabinet in Islamabad, PM Nawaz announced reduction of fuel prices by 9.43 rupees per litre with effect from November 1, to provide relief to the public.
Taking notice of the situation, provincial govt of all provinces have asked respective authorities to take necessary action against station owners.
