Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Friday wrote an open letter to Army Chief General Raheel Sharif saying that innocent workers are being arrested and killed extra-judicially in the name of targeted operation in Karachi. He said that his party has knocked every door for justice but returned disappointed.
In a statement issued by Altaf Hussain, it was said that innocent MQM workers are being targeted for no reason, alleging that extrajudicial murders of the party workers are being carried out in the name of targeted operation in Karachi.
MQM chief said he could have disclosed it on television but the TV channel who would broadcast his message would itself become a target. He said that this is the reason that he had no choice but to write an open letter in the name of the army chief and disseminate it through the print and electronic media.
