Mallika Sherawat tear-gassed, beaten up in Paris

Bollywood actor Mallika Sherawat was reportedly tear-gassed and beaten up by three masked intruders in her Paris apartment block.

According to a report that first appeared in Le Parisien, Sherawat, who has been making inroads into international films, was attacked by three masked intruders who, ‘without saying a word, sprayed their victims with tear gas before punching them’.

She arrived at the apartment block on Friday, November 11 with an unidentified male friend. They immediately called the emergency services once the attackers fled.

The attack comes barely a month after reality star Kim Kardashian faced a similar mugging in October.

Pari’s the Le Parisien newspaper, the criminals wore scarves across their faces, and sprayed and punched their victims without saying a word, after which they ran away.

Sherawat, who was with her friend Cyrille Auxenfans, then called the police.

The report goes on to say: “The attackers then ran away, leaving a shocked Ms Sherawat and her friend to call the emergency services. A criminal investigation has been launched, with detectives working on the theory that the assailants were attempting a robbery.
