As many as 13 youths have mysteriously gone missing after leaving Karachi to attend a wedding party in Hyderabad.
The group of friends, residents of Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area, left the area in their cars Tuesday night to attend another friend’s wedding in Hyderabad. Since then, there has been no clue of their whereabouts.
The families of the missing young men told the media that their cell phones were also off and not responding.
The missing friends are Rehan Ahmed, Yasir Kazmi, Asad Raza, Adeel Mirza, Sajid Usmani, Raheel Khan, Asghar Khan, Aadil, Shayan, Waleed Kamal and Moiz, all residents of Noman Grand City, Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 17.
Their family members have registered FIR at Shara-e-Faisal police station, claiming that the police were not cooperating with them, prompting them to stage a protest demonstration at Jauhar Chowrangi for the early recovery of their beloved ones.
Meanwhile, Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal took notice and directed police authorities to trace the missing men and cooperate with affected families.
