Lahore: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested five alleged facilitators of the terrorists who attacked two churches in Lahore in March this year.

At least 15 people were killed and more than 70 injured when two Taliban suicide bombers attacked churches in Lahore’s Youhanabad neighbourhood in March, sparking mob violence in which two people died.

Police have arrested five suspects of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), claiming that they were involved in facilitating the suicide attackers.

“The arrested suspects are being interrogated at an undisclosed location” .

Yesterday, Punjab Home Minister Col. (retd) Shuja Khanzada, told reporters that culprits of Youhanabad incident had been traced and their links with TTP had established.

Speaking to reporters, he said TTP has connections with Indian Intelligence Agency, RAW. The minister said details would be provided in another press conference soon.
