West Indies were 278 for nine in their first innings against Pakistan when rain brought an early close to the second day of the first Test at Sabina Park in Jamaica on Saturday.

Just 11.3 overs were bowled with the West Indies resuming from the overnight position of 244 for seven.

When play was halted, Pakistan seamer Mohammed Amir had figures of 5-41. (AFP)
