Five terrorists belonged from banned militant outfit were killed Wednesday in a clash with police in the southern port city of Karachi.
SSP Crime Investigation Department (CID) Rao Anwar brief media that the militants started shooting when police raided a hideout in Shah Latif Town in Sohrab Goth.
SSP CID said that “A shootout ensued as the cops retaliated with all the firepower they had. Outgunned and outnumbered, five of the terrorists went down before the end of the fierce gunfight,”
He also said that “A map of Razzaqabad Police Training Center, fire arms of various calibre, a couple of commando uniforms, two ready-to-detonate suicide vests were recovered from the hideout. At least 10 suspects were also detained in the operation,”
According to Anwar, the militants involved in various violent crimes including armed attacks on polio vaccination teams, target killing, etc.
