Breaking News: Blast in Lahore, 8 dead several injured

As many as eight people were dead while several people were injured in a suicide blast outside a hotel near Police lines, Lahore, local media reported a little while back.

According to reports, the suicide bomber exploded in front of the hotel after failing to reached his target and killed eight people on the spot while several others were injured.

Rescue teams have shifted the bodies and the injured to Mayo hospital and Ganga Ram hospital while fire tenders also arrived on the site. Injured and dead are yet to be identified.

Security forces cordoned of the area and stared searching for clues.

As many as 4 to 5 cars parked near the blast site also caught fire. The blast also damaged the windows of the buildings.

Rescue sources confirmed eight deaths till now while the  death toll is expected to increase.

The blast expected to be planted in the car parked near the hotel.

However, police officials haven’t confirmed the number of deaths and injured.
