After reviewing schools security arrangements in the metropolis, SSP East Pir Muhammad Shah said that 353 educational institutes are facing terror threats.
These include public sector, government, missionary schools and institutes run by security forces.
SSP East said that ‘motorcycle force’ has been formed for security of these institutes whereas teachers and students will be given special training to deal with any kind of untoward situation.

Thousands of schools across Pakistan, including Peshawar s army-run school that witnessed the deadly Taliban attack in December, reopened on January 12. The schools resumed after an extended winter break following the massacre at APS Peshawar that claimed the lives of over 140 people.
Authorities have tightened security at all schools in the country.
