Rangers and police in a combined search operation arrested at least 10 suspects from various areas of Karachi, involved in threatening the Administration of Government Girls Secondary School.
Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad and Provincial Minister for Education Nisar Khuhro took notice of the matter whereas rangers and police conducted a combined search operation in various areas of the metropolis to detain the culprits.
Earlier, the school administration received a threatening letter from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) stating that they will blow up the school and also warned that the administration would be responsible for the consequences in case of informing police or government.
Rangers officials had ensured the provision of security to the school, however investigations are underway and the arrested suspects are being interrogated.
