Authorities sealed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zulfi Bukhari’s residence in Attock’s cantt area on March 13, 2025.
The Accountability Court in Islamabad directed the seizure of Zulfi Bukhari’s property due to his status as an absconder in the £190 million corruption case.
On Friday, Judge Nisar Javed Rana approved the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) request. The court confiscated a 30-kanal plot, a four-kanal plot in Islamabad, and a 1,210-kanal property in Attock, including a 91-kanal segment. Following last year’s seizure order, a report is due within seven days.

The £190 million scandal ties to the Al Qadir University Trust, allegedly costing Pakistan’s treasury heavily. NAB claims former PM Imran Khan and others, including Bukhari, adjusted Rs50 billion (£190 million) from Britain’s National Crime Agency. A corruption reference targets Khan, his wife, and seven others.
NAB previously sought Bukhari’s asset seizure, and the Interior Ministry approved a red warrant via Interpol for his arrest and extradition. The Zulfi Bukhari property seizure marks a significant step in holding absconders accountable in this high-profile case.
Zulfi Bukhari’s property seizure underscores Pakistan’s anti-corruption drive. As the PTI leader remains large, the move signals intensified efforts to recover losses and uphold justice.
