In the midst of tech giants and innovation leaders, Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk have recently been stealing the spotlight for a different reason: a potential cage fight. The thought of these two industry titans clashing in a physical contest has electrified the internet, but recent developments suggest the much-anticipated showdown may remain a fantasy.
Proposing a Date: Is Musk Hesitant?
Mark Zuckerberg has been quite vocal about his eagerness for the event. In a conversation on Threads, Zuckerberg unveiled that he had put forward August 26 as the proposed date for the duel. Yet, despite his readiness, his counterpart Elon Musk has been notably silent on the matter. “I’m ready today, but he hasn’t confirmed,” Zuckerberg commented, implying a sense of hesitation from Musk’s end.
The Backyard Octagon: A Bone of Contention
Taking his commitment further, Zuckerberg recently embarked on an intriguing backyard project: constructing an octagon, the classic stage for mixed martial arts. However, this endeavour, which he shared via an Instagram story, did not seem to align with his wife Priscilla Chan’s gardening plans. The shared text exchange humorously highlighted Chan’s exasperation as she said, “I have been working on that grass for two years,” countering Zuckerberg’s excitement over his new fighting arena.
While Musk has been tight-lipped about the proposed duel, he hasn’t been entirely silent. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO divulged that he lost 28 pounds the previous year, attributing his weight loss to the diabetes medication Ozempic and a fasting regimen. Whether this fitness pursuit is related to the potential cage fight remains a mystery.
