Disney’s beloved animated world is expanding. Zootopia 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 2016 hit, is set to premiere in November 2025.
The film brings back the iconic duo, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. They will face a new mystery that explores unseen parts of the vibrant animal metropolis. The final trailer for Zootopia 2 was released in September 2025. It provides a deeper look at the film’s central plot and new antagonist.
Officers Hopps and Wilde are teaming up once again. This time, they go undercover to investigate a shady new figure, Gary De’Snake. The sequel will introduce new zones within the city. Audiences can explore marshes and desert-like areas, making Zootopia feel even larger.
The sequel features a mix of returning stars and new voices.

Zootopia 2 will premiere in U.S. theatres on November 26, 2025. Following Disney’s standard release strategy, the film is expected to stream on Disney+ in 2026. An exact date for the digital premiere has not yet been announced.
