Zaka Ashraf has been designated as the chair of the newly established management committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and his term is set to last four months.

Endorsed by the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Ashraf’s role in guiding the PCB’s affairs will be executed under the approval of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who functions as the PCB’s patron-in-chief. The committee’s formation received sanction from the federal government through an approval summary.

Comprising of ten members, the Management Committee includes Kalim Ullah Khan, Ashafaq Akhtar, Mussadiq Islam, Azmat Parvez, Zaheer Abbas, Khurram Soomro, Khawaja Nadeem, Mustafa Ramday, and Zulfiqar Malik.

Besides setting up the committee, a significant shift occurred in the chief election commissioner’s office, with Mahmood Iqbal stepping in to succeed Ahmed Shehzad Farooq Rana.
