On Monday, the White House expressed concerns about strengthening ties between Russia and North Korea.
The statement came as Russian President Vladimir Putin prepares for a rare state visit to Pyongyang. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby highlighted that the main worry is not Putin’s visit but the intensifying relationship between the two nations.
Kirby explained that the concerns extend beyond the current conflict in Ukraine, where North Korean missiles are reportedly being used. He emphasized the potential reciprocal actions between Russia and North Korea that might impact security across the Korean Peninsula.
