WhatsApp Tests New Feature Enabling Multi-Account Switching

WhatsApp is currently testing a new feature that allows users to toggle between multiple accounts, similar to the functionality available on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

The feature, recently unveiled for iPhones as companion mode, supports linking a single phone number to a maximum of four different devices. As per WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s developers have quietly launched this functionality for users of the beta version of WhatsApp Business for Android.

This update facilitates business owners with multiple WhatsApp numbers to smooth the transition between accounts linked to diverse phone numbers.

This feature’s rollout is particularly advantageous for entrepreneurs and business owners as it eliminates the need for resorting to third-party solutions like app cloners or maintaining multiple devices to manage their various WhatsApp accounts.

Introducing the multi-account feature aims to ease account management for a multitude of users, making their experience more efficient and saving them significant time and effort.

Moreover, there are indications that this practical feature may not be limited to the business version of WhatsApp. The developers might contemplate extending it to WhatsApp Messenger in the future.

Presently, this feature is accessible in WhatsApp Business v2.23.13.5 beta. However, its release date for regular and beta users remains uncertain since the feature is still undergoing testing.
