WhatsApp has released a new version that enables users to initiate a chat using their phone number from their contacts list.
WaBetaInfo reported that the latest update is available for iOS in the Appstore with version 22.23.74.
With this version, users may now message themselves by simply entering their phone number while accessing their chat. It is located on their contacts list.
Prior to a few months ago, the capability was accessible on WhatsApp for iOS, but it was withdrawn since it was incompatible with several devices. So this is a new update for Android users.
Users can locate their contact in the list of contacts. This displays the chat caption “Send yourself a message.” These communications are viewable on all linked devices and are encrypted end-to-end (the encryption key is generated using all your linked devices).
This update is accessible to a subset of WhatsApp users with the most recent version installed from the App Store or TestFlight. More users will have access to these modifications in the following days.
