WhatsApp’s latest update, version 2.25.1.18, is now accessible for Android users via the Google Play Beta Program. The release expands existing event scheduling capabilities, previously limited to group and community announcement chats, by enabling event creation in individual chats. This enhancement lets users arrange activities directly within one-on-one conversations, streamlining the organization process.
To create an event, users must input a mandatory name with options to add a description, a start date, and an end time. The feature supports adding locations or linking to audio or video calls, accommodating in-person and virtual gatherings. Once established, the event is automatically shared with the chat participant, who can accept or decline the invite.
