WhatsApp has introduced a new shortcut in the Chats tab for quicker access to conversations with Meta AI, enhancing visibility and user-friendliness.

This update, part of the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS, version 24.25.10.79, replaces the previous shortcut at the top of the navigation bar.

The redesign places the shortcut within the Chats tab to boost accessibility, especially on larger devices where reaching the top screen may be cumbersome. WhatsApp anticipates that this more convenient location will prompt more users to use AI-powered features.

Users can now explore creative functionalities like generating personalized images or other content through Meta AI.

This modification aligns with the Android app’s design, where the shortcut is a floating action button.

While the new placement is available to certain beta testers, it remains under evaluation. WhatsApp may refine the feature based on user feedback and preferences.

The shortcut is accessible to select users who have installed the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS via the TestFlight app, with a broader rollout expected in the coming weeks.
