Karachi: Residents of Golimar and surrounding areas staged a protest against water shortage and prolonged power cuts here on Monday.
A large number of the people, including women and children, participated in the protest, demanding smooth supply of water and power in the areas.
The angry protesters burnt tyres, blocked roads and chanted slogans against the water board and K-Electric authorities.
The protest caused traffic jam at other roads which brought inconvenience to the hundreds of the commuters.
