In an attempt to provoke from the sidelines, Rockets’ Tari Eason’s taunt fell flat as Steph Curry and Klay Thompson powered the Golden State Warriors to their sixth consecutive victory.
Eason, who didn’t play in the game, sported a T-shirt bearing the taunt “Warriors, come out to play,” echoing a line from the cult classic film ‘The Warriors’, from the Rockets’ bench.
Klay Thompson, unimpressed by the gesture, commented on its lack of impact, especially from a non-participating player.
Curry and Thompson’s stellar performance, each netting 29 points with a combined 14 of 22 from three-point range, cemented the Warriors’ winning streak and bolstered their playoff prospects.
Curry emphasized their defensive efforts as foundational to their success against most teams.
On the Rockets’ side, Jabari Smith Jr. with 24 points and newcomer Cam Whitmore with 17 points emerged as the top performers.
