In a video that swiftly gained popularity on social media, a female diver named Ocean Ramsey narrowly escaped being devoured by a formidable shark.

The diver routinely posts jaw-dropping videos of her encounters with sharks on Instagram.

The old footage uploaded on Twitter and Instagram by the “wow Terrifying” account shows diver Ramsey altering direction just as a shark opens its mouth and goes in for the kill, coming within inches of touching her flippers before plunging back into the sea.

The “Jump in”-captioned video on Twitter, which has received 2.3 million views to date, showcases life’s most terrifying and extraordinary encounters.

Diver Ramsey initially submitted this video to her Instagram account @oceanramsey and said, “We love Tiger shark Queen Nikki’s enthusiasm to greet @oceanramsey 😂 Ocean reading an approach quickly and accurately knowing when to respectfully back up. @oneoceandiving the safety diver is always the first person in the water and the last person out and the one responsible for respectfully evaluating the sharks behavior before inviting others into the water 💙

Murky water and a lot of bird activity and the little opelu fish trying to hide from hunting kawa kawa under the boat made this day extra exciting with both fish and sharks practically jumping out of the water.”

According to NDTV, Ramsey stated that it appeared the shark would ensnare her fin tips when it was so near and moving so quickly. But, she added, “That was when I decided I needed to return to the boat.

The shark, also known as a tiger shark, measures 14 feet in length and weighs 635 kilograms, making it one of the largest marine organisms.
