A video capturing a violent clash between activists from two student organizations in the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, also known as Jinnah Hospital, surfaced on Saturday.

The footage shows students from both groups engaging in stone-throwing. Additionally, participants wielded wooden sticks during the altercation, resulting in several injuries among the students.

Following the incident, one of the groups began a protest outside the Saddar police station. They urged law enforcement to act against the aggressors and criticized the police for their lack of intervention.

A similar confrontation occurred in January at the University of Karachi (UoK). In that instance, a video depicted a severe assault on a student inside the university’s library, with individuals wearing helmets and exchanging blows. Furniture was also thrown during the melee.

According to police reports, the University of Karachi fight occurred on a Monday in the main library, leaving four students injured. Those harmed in the altercation were subsequently taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
