The wife of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Pakistan has been reported missing for more than hours.
According to the initial reports, she left her residence around 11 AM PKT to walk to a nearby parlour, leaving behind her phone and purse, but she never arrived. Senior police officials are currently investigating the situation.
Following the incident reported, the Inspector General of Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, and Deputy Inspector General Ali Raza visited the residence of the Ambassador of Vietnam as part of a broader effort involving investigative team members.
Prior to meeting with the Ambassador, IG Rizvi was briefed by the Senior Superintendent of Police for Safe City, Investigation, and Operations. During his visit, IG Rizvi reaffirmed the Islamabad Police’s commitment to the security of all diplomats in the area, stating, “Ensuring the safety of all ambassadors residing in Islamabad is our top priority.”
In response to the disappearance of the Ambassador’s wife, the Islamabad Police have established seven specialized teams to expedite the search. IG Rizvi highlighted that the police are utilizing technical and human resources to support the investigation.
The police diligently collect all relevant evidence and examine every aspect of the case to ensure a thorough investigation.
