Allegations against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs have resurfaced following the release of a video that reportedly captures him assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in 2016.
The footage, disclosed by CNN, portrays a disturbing scene in a Los Angeles hotel corridor, intensifying scrutiny over Combs’ past behaviour.
The video, originating from hotel surveillance, seemingly shows Combs engaging in a violent altercation with Ventura. It depicts him attacking and then dragging her in the hallway, followed by throwing an object at her.
This incident allegedly occurred at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City on March 5, 2016. The released footage corroborates Ventura’s claims of domestic violence by her former partner.
In the video, Ventura leaves a hotel room and hurries towards an elevator. Combs, wearing only a towel, pursues her. He catches up, assaults her, and kicks her while she lies on the ground.
As Ventura remains on the floor, Combs is observed kicking her again after retrieving a purse and suitcase. He drags her by her sweatshirt towards a room before leaving the scene.
Ventura, recognized for her hit “Me & U,” filed a lawsuit against Combs, alleging physical abuse. In her lawsuit, she claims Combs, while “extremely intoxicated,” assaulted her, resulting in a black eye. Ventura, now 37, reached a confidential settlement with Combs, who is 54.
Despite the lawsuit, Combs and Ventura were seen together at a film premiere in Los Angeles just two days after the alleged incident. Ventura has opted not to comment on the video’s contents following its release.
