Shah, known for her candid presence online, shared her perplexity regarding the backlash from Pakistani audiences after posting a photograph of herself in a short skirt and a subsequent video in shorts alongside her husband.
In her statement on X (formerly Twitter), Shah highlighted the disparity between personal acceptance and public criticism. She mentioned that her husband, who is from a different cultural background, has no issues with her attire, questioning why it should concern others in Pakistan. Shah’s comments came after facing severe trolling and criticism for her choice of clothing on social media platforms.
Further emphasizing her liberal upbringing in Canada, Shah expressed frustration over being judged by those who might hold conservative views about women’s attire. She criticized the hypocrisy of those offended by her clothing choices and suggested they redirect their attention to other forms of media if they are disturbed by her posts.
