Uraan Pakistan has launched its flagship Young Development Fellowship (YDF) program for young professionals seeking practical experience in public policy and national development will receive a monthly stipend of PKR 90,000.
The Young Development Fellowship is a one-year, fully-funded program offered by the Planning Commission under the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives of the Government of Pakistan. The objective of this program is to cultivate influential, visionary new leadership. It provides structured, practical exposure to development planning, public policy, innovation, and reform.
Under the program, selected fellows will work alongside senior policymakers in both public and private institutions. They gain hands-on experience in the national policy-making process.
Under URAAN Pakistan, the Government is developing Block-A of Phase-I of Karachi Industrial Park with an investment of Rs. 7.4 Billion through PSDP, approved by CDWP in February 2025.

Eligibility criteria require candidates to be between 21 and 30 years of age and possess a Master’s degree or 16 years of professional education in a relevant field from a recognised domestic or international university. A minimum GPA of 3.2 is mandatory.

- Energy, Education & Health
- Project Management
- Data Analytics
- Urban Planning
- Water Resources
- Infrastructure & Construction
- Exports & Trade
- Other development-related fields
Selected Young Development Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of PKR 90,000 for one year. However, authorities have clarified that incomplete applications will not be considered. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews, and no TA/DA will be provided.
To apply, candidates must fill out the prescribed application form available on the Planning Commission’s website (www.pc.gov.pk/web/career) and submit it via courier.
Applicants must also send attested copies of their CV, educational certificates, and other required documents along with the application form by January 13, 2026.
Officials have encouraged eligible youth nationwide to apply. They stated that this fellowship offers a unique opportunity to play a meaningful role in Pakistan’s national development and gain valuable professional experience.
