Monday’s Lanka Premier League (LPL) match in Colombo, between Galle Titans and Dambulla Aura, was interrupted when a snake found its way onto the field.

Despite the umpire’s efforts to shoo the reptile away, it slithered into the Galle Titans’ dugout. League officials were compelled to summon a wildlife rescue team to remove the snake from the stadium safely.

Indian cricket player Dinesh Karthik found humour in the situation, tweeting “Naagin is back,” and humorously referenced the Bangladeshi team, known for their “Naagin” dance celebration upon taking wickets.
